NextGen Label Group has announced that, following an intentional succession planning process, Tom Sargent will become chairman of the Board of Directors, effective February 11, 2026.

Sargent brings decades of leadership experience, industry knowledge, and a deep understanding of NextGen Label Group’s employee-owned culture. He previously served as president and CEO of NextGen Label Group and, in April 2025, transitioned into an advisory role, continuing his service as a member of the Board of Directors. His appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in his ability to provide strategic oversight, continuity, and long-term leadership as the organization continues to grow.

“Tom’s experience, perspective, and steady leadership have made a lasting impact on NextGen Label Group,” states Nick Van Alstine, former co-chair of the Board of Directors. “He understands our business at every level and has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful, disciplined approach to leadership. This transition reflects a thoughtfully planned succession and a leader who is well prepared to step into the role.”

Kathy Alaimo, former co-Chair of the Board, adds, “Tom has earned the trust and respect of the Board through his experience, integrity, and commitment to our employee-owners. His ability to balance strategic vision with operational understanding makes him uniquely qualified to lead the Board well into the next chapter of growth.”

Sargent’s leadership experience and long-standing involvement with the organization position him to support management, uphold strong governance practices, and guide the board in alignment with NextGen Label Group’s long-term strategy and core values.

Dan Rosenbaum, president of NextGen Label Group, emphasizes both continuity and gratitude in the transition. “I want to sincerely thank Nick Van Alstine and Kathy Alaimo for their dedicated service and leadership as Board Co-Chairs,” Rosenbaum says. “Their stewardship fundamentally shaped the strong foundation and employee-ownership culture we have today. As we look ahead, I’m excited for Tom to take the helm. His depth of experience and leadership will ensure continuity at the Board level while honoring the legacy Nick and Kathy leave behind.”

Sargent will work closely with current Board leadership to ensure a smooth and seamless transition ahead of his formal appointment in February. Kathy Alaimo and Nick Van Alstine will remain on the Board as Directors for the remainder of 2026.
